After waiting for almost 3 weeks for these shoes to be shipped from the UK, they were way too wide. I ordered my usual size in this shoe, but something has changed. this has been an increasing problem for me lately. I don't know whether it's due to manufacturing inconsistancies, a widespread widening of shoe lasts across the industry, or an unknown factor, but I cannot find shoes that fit anymore. The most irritating part this time is that I have to pay return shipping to the UK.
I love Salomon products. Their shoes are roomy and well made. I have two pair of these and wear them on short hikes and around town.
I wore these shoes for two weeks straight and after the first day of breaking them in they were quite comfortable. They did tend to be a little slippery though on smooth stone and wet conditions. They got better as I roughed them up on gravel but still I was careful in slick conditions. ......
