I live in an area where its 100+ for three months out of the year and shoes just arent comfortable, but I had problems with plantar fascitis in both feet. I was supposed to wear orthotic shoes and socks all the time, and I didnt want to!
These are one of the few 'flip flops' that are recommended by the american podiatry association, and they are enormously comfortable. I wore them all summer with good comfort and few foot issues. I'll be wearing them again this summer!
O.K., this growing old thing (>50) is a pain...REALLY. I purchased these for my husband who has been complaining of knee pain lately. When I looked at his stance from behind, his one foot is pronating, putting his lower leg out of alignment with his knee. This from a man that is not over weight and in good shape.
